Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes. We build a real, working homepage for your business before you pay anything. You see it, click through it on your phone, and then decide. If you don’t want it, you don’t pay.

  • Page builders ship a large amount of code your site never uses, and that shows up as slower load times, weaker search performance, and an ongoing maintenance burden of plugins and updates. Hand-coding takes longer to build, but it is the most reliable way to get a site that loads fast and stays fast.

  • About 3 days from our first proper conversation to a draft you can look at, and roughly 2 - 4 weeks to launch once you have approved it. The main thing that slows a build down is waiting on photos and content, so the sooner you get those to us the sooner it goes live.

  • Most businesses that come to us do, usually on WordPress, Wix or Squarespace. We rebuild it properly rather than patching what is already there, and moving your existing text, photos and pages across is part of the build at no extra cost. Your current site stays live and working right up until the new one replaces it.

  • No. Design, build, hosting, security updates and ongoing changes are all handled at our end. There is no login to remember, no plugin to update, and nothing technical for you to learn. When something needs changing, you email us and we change it.

  • Less than you would think. A short conversation about what you do, who your customers are, and what you want the site to achieve. If you already have photos, a logo or written copy we will use them. If you don’t, we will work with what is there and tell you honestly what is worth adding.

  • Then you owe us nothing and you are free to walk away. We would rather hear what is wrong and change it. Most first drafts need a round of adjustments, and that is normal but there is no obligation in either direction.

  • Hosting, SSL, ongoing maintenance and security updates, and unlimited content edits. Opening hours, prices, photos, new text. You email us the change and we make it. There is no charge for editing your own information.

  • No. There is no contract and no minimum term — it is a monthly subscription, and you are in it for as long as it is worth paying for. All we ask is 30 days’ notice before you stop, so nothing gets switched off unexpectedly.

  • The website is part of the subscription, so when the subscription ends the site comes down. Your domain name is a separate thing and it stays yours, along with your logo, your photos and anything you wrote. We are not holding your business identity hostage. The 30 days’ notice is there so you have time to point your domain somewhere new before anything goes offline.

  • Yes. Your domain is your business identity, and it should stay yours whatever happens between us.

  • Yes, as often as you like. Editing existing content is included in the monthly plan with no per-change fee. Adding brand new pages costs $100 each.

  • Every site is built with the technical foundations in place: clean page structure, fast load times, proper titles and descriptions, and Google Business Profile setup. That is what makes you eligible to show up in local search.

  • As many as the homepage needs. We design and build the homepage first and get your approval on it before building anything else. That is what stops a project turning into endless back-and-forth halfway through. Once the look is settled, the rest of the site follows it.
